THREE CHARGED, COCAINE SEIZED IN MISHKEEGOGAMANG FIRST NATION
(Mishkeegogamang, ON) – Police have charged three individuals, and seized a quantity of suspected cocaine, following the search of a home in Mishkeegogamang First Nation Sunday.
Members of the Nishnawbe Aski Police Service’s Intelligence Unit and Emergency Response Team, with assistance from officers working out of the Mishkeegogamang First Nation detachment, executed a search warrant at a residential address on Sunday, July 6.
The search warrant was obtained as a result of an ongoing investigation into drug trafficking activity in the community.
Following their search, police located and seized a quantity of suspected cocaine.
Three suspects now face charges, and were arrested at the scene without incident.
A 33-year-old female from Mishkeegogamang First Nation, is charged with:
- Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking
A 31-year-old female from Mishkeegogamang First Nation, is charged with:
- Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking
A 29-year-old male from Mishkeegogamang First Nation, is charged with:
- Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking
All three were later released with conditions and a future appearance date.
The identities of accused individuals are not released until charges against them have been formally sworn in before the court .
