FOUR ARRESTED, DRUGS AND CASH SEIZED IN CAT LAKE FIRST NATION

(Cat Lake, ON) – Police arrested four suspects, including a Winnipeg man, and seized cash, cocaine and methamphetamine during the search of a Cat Lake First Nation home on Wednesday, June 11.

Members of the Nishnawbe Aski Police Service’s Intelligence Unit and Emergency Response Team, with assistance from front-line NAPS officers working out of the Cat Lake First Nation detachment, executed a search warrant at a residential address in the community in the morning hours of Wednesday, June 11.

The search warrant was obtained as a result of an ongoing investigation by the NAPS Intelligence Unit into drug trafficking activity within Cat Lake First Nations.

When police entered the home, they located and arrested four suspects without incident.

Following their search, police located and seized a quantity of suspected cocaine, methamphetamine, nearly $25,000 CAD, and paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking.

Zach Dean Roderick EINARSON, 27, of Winnipeg, is charged with:

  • Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking
  • Possession of Methamphetamine for the Purpose of Trafficking
  • Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000

Nikita Elvira CHICKEKOO, 28, of Cat Lake First Nation, is charged with:

  • Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking
  • Possession of Methamphetamine for the Purpose of Trafficking
  • Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000

Rory Brent KEESICKQUAYASH, 34, of Cat Lake First Nation, is charged with:

  • Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking
  • Possession of Methamphetamine for the Purpose of Trafficking
  • Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000

Sabrina Erica Marissa KEESICKQUAYASH, 35, of Cat Lake First Nation, is charged with:

  • Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking
  • Possession of Methamphetamine for the Purpose of Trafficking
  • Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000

EINARSON appeared in bail court and was remanded into custody. The other three suspects were released with conditions and future court appearance dates.
