Fleet
The Nishnawbe Aski Police Service fleet department is made up of 310S Certified Mechanics who can repair, build and design new and in-service vehicles, trailers and off-road equipment. Our mechanics travel to all locations within our police service to repair and service these vehicles. Some of the repairs and tasks our mechanics perform are:
- Routine Maintenance
- Diagnostic and troubleshooting vehicle issues
- Repairing all components on the vehicles and trailers
- Designing and altering vehicles to fit specific requirements of the Police Service
- Delivering and removing units from the communities
- Ordering and maintaining inventory parts
- Upfitting all vehicles emergency equipment
- Decommissioning and auctioning off old service vehicles
- Repairing all vehicles within the fleet i.e., ATV’s, SXS, Snowmobiles, Trailers, Trucks, SUV’s, and Cars
The NAPS mechanics maintain their certifications as well partake in all forms of updated training on vehicle repair and diagnostic procedures to ensure the vehicles are correctly repaired and maintained to keep them fully operational.
