The Facilities Department is responsible for maintaining all of the NAPS building’s physical infrastructure and ensuring a safe, comfortable, and functional work environment for employees. They manage a wide range of tasks, including building maintenance, repairs, security, and energy efficiency, while also adhering to safety regulations and environmental standards.

Key responsibilities of our Facilities Department include:

  • Building Maintenance and Repairs, including regular inspections, preventive maintenance, and prompt attention to repairs and renovations to ensure the building is in good working order.
  • Energy Management: Optimizing energy consumption to reduce costs and promote sustainability, including implementing energy-efficient technologies and practices.
  • Health and Safety Compliance: Ensuring the building and its systems meet all relevant health and safety regulations and standards, including fire safety, accessibility, and occupational safety.
  • Space Management: Planning and optimizing the use of space within the facility, ensuring it meets the needs of different departments and occupants.
  • Budget Management: Developing and managing budgets for facility-related expenses, including maintenance, repairs, and renovations.
  • Contract Management: Overseeing contracts with vendors and service providers for various facility-related services.
  • Sustainability: Implementing and promoting sustainable practices, such as waste reduction, water conservation, and energy efficiency, to minimize the environmental impact of the facility.
  • Emergency Preparedness: Developing and implementing emergency response plans and ensuring that staff are trained to handle potential hazards.
  • People Management: Supervising and managing technicians, maintenance personnel, and support staff.
    Asset Management: Tracking and managing the organization’s physical assets, including buildings, equipment, and grounds.
