SUMMARY: On October 30, 1971 at Ogoki Post, Bartholome MOONIAS attended a drinking party with several of his relatives and friends and consumed a considerable quantity of liquor. MOONIAS and an Ogoki member allegedly took MOONIAS’ boat and motor and attempted to cross the Albany River to the Hudson Bay Co. Store located on an island in the river. The immediate events of what occurred afterwards are not known. The boat and parts of the motor were found near rapids about two miles from Ogoki the following day. MOONIAS has not been seen since.
