PEACEKEEPERS ASSIST NISHNAWBE-ASKI POLICE WITH DRUG SEIZURE Print

 

(Webequie, ON) On February 22, 2012, the Nishnawbe-Aski Police Webequie Detachment responded to a call for assistance from the Webequie First Nation Peacekeepers.

Police attended at the Webequie airport and conducted a drug investigation with information received from the Peacekeepers. As a result, police seized Oxycodone 80mg tablets with a street value of nine thousand three-hundred ($9,300.00) dollars.

Twenty-five (25) year-old Beverly Morning Star MOONIAS of Webequie First Nation has been charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking and Breach of Probation. MOONIAS has been released from custody on conditions and will next appear in court on June 15, 2012, in Webequie, Ontario.

Webequie First Nation is located approximately 650 km north of Thunder Bay.
