Drug Enforcement Unit assisted by members of the Thunder Bay detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act Search Warrant Print

The Combined Forces Organized Crime Unit consists of members from The Thunder Bay Police Service, The O.P.P.- Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau, The R.C.M.P., The Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service and The Anishinabek Police Service.

On September 22, 2011, members of the Drug Enforcement Unit assisted by members of the Thunder Bay detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act Search Warrant a residence on Lakeshore Drive, Shuniah Township. 

Patrick OULETTE was home at the time the warrant was executed and taken into custody.

As a result of the search officers seized 294 x 80 mg Oxycodone tablets and $16,475.00 (Canadian Currency). 

The street value of the drugs seized is approximately $45,000.00.

Charged are:

Patrick OULETTE, 48 years of age of Shuniah Township with:

Possession of Oxycodone for the Purposes of Trafficking

Possession of Proceeds of Crime

Stewart KAMENAWATAMIN, 37 years of age, of Thunder Bay with:

Trafficking of Oxycodone

Possession of Proceeds of Crime

Krista STURGEON, 26 years of age, of Thunder Bay with:

Trafficking of Oxycodone

Possession of Proceeds of Crime

All three have been released.  OULETTE will appear before the courts in Thunder Bay on November 24, 2011. KAMENAWATAMIN and STURGEON will appear before the courts on November 25, 2011.
