CONTINUED POLICE EFFORT FOR EABAMETOONG Print

(Thunder Bay, ON) On November 5, 2010, Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service Drug Enforcement Unit, Guns and Gang Unit, and the Combined Forces Organized Crime Unit began an investigation for illegal drugs destined for the Eabametoong First Nation.

Twenty-one (21) year-old Levi YELLOWHEAD of Thunder Bay was charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking when a search by police resulted in the seizure of OxyContin and Percocet prescription pills.  The street value of the seizure is approximately one thousand eight-hundred ($1,800.00) dollars.  YELLOWHEAD was released on an Appearance Notice for court in Thunder Bay on December 17, 2010.

Eabametoong First Nation is located approximately 385 km northeast of Thunder Bay.
