DRUGS INTERCEPTED AT AIRPORT Print

(Deer Lake, ON) On November 4, 2010, Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service located in Deer Lake First Nation were called to assist with a suspicious package intercepted at the remote northern community airport by Airport Security.

Police seized a number of 80 mg and 40 mg OxyContin prescription pills, and 83 g of Marijuana, a total street value of approximately fourteen thousand four hundred seventy-two ($14,472.00) dollars.  The suspicious package originated from Winnipeg, Manitoba and was addressed to a Deer Lake First Nation member.
