WAPEKEKA BAND SECURITY ASSISTS IN OXYCONTIN SEIZURE Print

(Wapekeka, ON) On September 27, 2010, Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service were called for assistance by the Wapekeka First Nation Band Security Peacekeepers.

A woman from the Wapekeka First Nation is under investigation after Peacekeepers turned over to police approximately sixteen-thousand eight-hundred dollars ($16,800.00) worth of OxyContin prescription pills.

Forty-eight (48) year-old Ida Kally ANDERSON has been charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking and will appear in court in Wapekeka on December 9, 2010.

Wapekeka First Nation is located approximately 815 kilometres north of Thunder Bay.
