DRUG TRAFFICKING TO NORTHERN TERRITORY INTERCEPTED Print
(Thunder Bay) On April 22, 2010, Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service with the assistance of the Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau (OCEB) charged an adult male following an investigation into illegal prescription drugs being trafficked from Thunder Bay to Webequie through the Thunder Bay International Airport.

Police seized a street value of approximately seven thousand dollars ($7,000.00) worth of OxyCodone prescription drugs.

Thirty-six (36) year-old Crispa Barnabus ANDERSON of Webequie First Nation was charged under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act with two counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking. ANDERSON has been released on a Promise to Appear, with a court appearance in Thunder Bay on June 3, 2010.

Webequie First Nation is approximately 650 km north of Thunder Bay.
