TRAFFICKING CHARGE Print

(Nibinamik) On November 28, 2009 Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service officers from Nibinamik Detachment were investigating a complaint at a residence located in Nibinamik First Nation (Summer Beaver).  During the arrest of an intoxicated male, police found that the male was in the possession of a controlled substance and a large amount of cash.

Police seized a street value of approximately one thousand, four hundred forty dollars ($1,440.00) worth of Percocet and OxyContin prescription pills along with one thousand, one hundred ninety ($1,190.00) dollars in cash.

Eighteen (18) year old Justin Lucas BEAVER of Nibinamik First Nation was charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, Breach of Undertaking and Obstruct Peace Officer.  He has been released from custody on a Justice of the Peace Undertaking and will appear in court on March 24, 2010 in Nibinamik First Nation, Ontario.

Nibinamik First Nation is located approximately 500 kilometres north west of Thunder Bay.
