TWO CHARGED IN PRESCRIPTION DRUG TRAFFICKING Print

(Thunder Bay) On October 29, 2009 Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service Drug Enforcement Unit seized prescription drugs from a man and woman located at the Thunder Bay Airport.

An approximate street value of nine thousand two hundred dollars ($9,200.00) worth of Percocet prescription drug tablets were destined for the remote northern community of Eabametoong First Nation (Fort Hope).

Thirty (30) year old Brian John WAPOOSE was charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking.  His sister, twenty-two (22) year old Erica Helen Vicky WAPOOSE was charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking. 

Both were released on a Promise to Appear for court in Thunder Bay on November 26, 2009. 

Eabametoong First Nation is located approximately 385 kilometres northeast of Thunder Bay.
