DRUG TIP LEADS TO MARIHUANA SEIZURE IN ATTAWAPISKAT PDF Print E-mail

(Attawapiskat, ON)  On September 26, 2014, Nishnawbe-Aski Police Attawapiskat Detachment received confidential information about drugs being transported to the First Nation Community of Attawapiskat. 

Police investigation resulted in the seizure of marihuana with an estimated street value of four thousand three-hundred ($4,300.00) dollars. 

Twenty-three (23) year-old Yannick ROY of St-Majorique, Quebec was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking. 

ROY was released on conditions and will next appear in court in Attawapiskat on November 19, 2014. 

Attawapiskat First Nation is located approximately 630 kilometres north of Timmins, Ontario.
