NAPS SEIZE $84,780.00 IN DRUGS IN FORT ALBANY PDF Print E-mail

(Fort Albany, ON)  On October 28, 2013, the Nishnawbe-Aski Police Fort Albany Detachment investigated a complaint of drug trafficking destined for the First Nation Territory of Fort Albany. 

As a result of that investigation, police seized an approximate street value of eighty four thousand seven-hundred eighty dollars ($84,780.00) worth of Marihuana, Oxycodone Pills and Methamphetamine Pills.  

Forty-eight (48) year-old Harry SUTHERLAND of Fort Albany First Nation was charged with three counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking under Section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.  

SUTHERLAND was held in custody and scheduled to appear in court in Timmins on October 31, 2013. 

Fort Albany First Nation is located approximately 525 km north of Timmins, ON.
