(Marten Falls, ON)  On November 23, 2012, the Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service officers from the Drug Enforcement Unit and the Marten Falls Detachment charged a woman from Marten Falls after intercepting a drug destined for the remote northern community.

Police seized approximately one thousand one-hundred eighty-four ($1,184.00) dollars worth of Marijuana.

Thirty-seven (37) year-old Patricia (Patty) ACHNEEPINESKUM of Marten Falls First Nation has been charged with Possession under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.  ACHNEEPINESKUM has been released on conditions and will next appear in court on February 6, 2013 in Marten Falls, Ontario.

Marten Falls First Nation is located approximately 450 kilometres northeast of Thunder Bay, Ontario.
