NAPS BEGINS OCTOBER WITH $10,700.00 IN ALCOHOL SEIZURES PDF Print E-mail

(Thunder Bay, ON)  October 2012 has begun with ten thousand seven-hundred ($10,700.00) dollars worth of alcohol seizures made by the Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service.

On October 2, 2012, an Attawapiskat Detachment member seized a street value of five thousand four-hundred ($5,400.00) dollars worth of 750ml bottles of liquor.  On the same date, an officer at the Fort Albany Detachment seized four thousand ($4.000.00) dollars worth of 750ml bottles of liquor.

On October 3, 2012, an officer from the Muskrat Dam Detachment seized one thousand ($1,300.00) dollars worth of liquor and contraband.

No charges have been laid at this time, however members of the public are encouraged to contact police with any information in relation to these occurrences or any other alcohol or drug smuggling activities. 

Attawapiskat First Nation is located approximately 630 kilometres north of Timmins, Ontario.

Fort Albany First Nation is located approximately 525 km north of Timmins, Ontario.

Muskrat Dam First Nation is approximately 620 km north of Thunder Bay, Ontario.
