(Thunder Bay, ON)  On July 17, 2012, the Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service Drug Unit assisted by the NAPS Guns and Gangs Unit and the Ontario Provincial Police Drug Enforcement Section seized a quantity of a prescription drug destined for the First Nation community of Marten Falls.   

Police attended the Thunder Bay International Airport and seized approximately four thousand eight-hundred ($4,800.00) dollars worth of Oxycodone.

Thirty-seven (37) year-old Josie BAXTER of Thunder Bay has been charged with Trafficking a Controlled Substance and Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking.

BAXTER has been released on conditions and will next appear in court in Thunder Bay on August 15, 2012.

Marten Falls First Nation is located approximately 450 km northeast of Thunder Bay.
