On October 7, 2011 Drug Enforcement Officers assisted by officers with the Thunder Bay Police Guns and Gang Unit executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant on a residence in the 100 block of East Christina Street Thunder Bay.

A 52 year old male and a 38 year old female were located at the residence and taken into custody.

Search of the residence resulted in the seizure of approximately 4 ounces of cocaine, approximately 5 Oxycodone 80 milligram tablets, 21 Morphine tablets, 12 Percocet tablets and approximately $3,400.00 in Canadian currency. Street value of the drugs seized is approximately $12,000.00.

Both parties have been charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking - Cocaine, Oxycodone, and Morphine s. 5(2) CDSA as well as Proceeds of Crime not exceeding $5,000.00 s. 354(1) CCC.

Both individuals were released and will appear in Thunder Bay court on November 30, 2011.
