$16,500.00 WORTH OF ALCOHOL SEIZED IN KASHECHEWAN FIRST NATION PDF Print E-mail

(Kashechewan, ON) On April 3, 2011, Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service members while attending a local residence on another call for assistance discovered a large amount of alcohol contained in several hockey bags.

Approximately three hundred thirty-three (333) bottles of various types of alcohol were seized by police, totalling a northern street value of approximately sixteen thousand five-hundred dollars ($16,500.00).  Charges are pending as this matter is still under investigation.

Kashechewan First Nation is located approximately 120 km northwest of Moosonee.
