FATAL INCIDENT UNDER INVESTIGATION IN ATTAWAPISKAT FIRST NATION PDF Print E-mail

(Attawapiskat, ON) A fatal accident that occurred at 9 a.m. on March 22, 2011 is currently under investigation by Nishnawbe-Aski Police with the assistance of the Ontario Provincial Police North East Region Crime Unit, Forensic Identification Services, and Highway Safety Division.

 A six (6) year-old boy has been reported as deceased and his body will undergo a post-mortem examination scheduled for Friday, March 25, 2011 in Toronto.

Anyone that may have witnessed the incident is asked to call the Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service Attawapiskat Detachment at 705-997-2224 or report any information anonymously to CrimeStoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).

Attawapiskat First Nation is located approximately 630 kilometres north of Timmins, Ontario.
