NISHNAWBE-ASKI POLICE SEIZE WEAPONS IN CAT LAKE PDF Print E-mail

(Cat Lake, ON) On March 10, 2011, the Guns and Gangs Units of the Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service and the Ontario Provincial Police executed a warrant at a residence in the First Nation community of Cat Lake.

A resident of Cat Lake First Nation has been arrested under the Criminal Code of Canada with several counts of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm, and several counts of Unauthorized Possession of a Weapon.  The resident is also facing one charge of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

Cat Lake First Nation is approximately 550 km northwest of Thunder Bay.
