NISHNAWBE-ASKI POLICE CHARGE FORT ALBANY WOMAN PDF Print E-mail

(Fort Albany) On March 4, 2011, Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service members in the Fort Albany First Nation charged a woman under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act and the Criminal Code of Canada after conducting an investigation into drugs being transported into the community.

Approximately 71.7 grams of Marijuana was seized by police, totalling an approximate northern street value of one thousand four-hundred twenty dollars ($1,420.00).

Nineteen (19) year-old Samantha Emily Karen KNAPAYSWEET of Fort Albany First Nation has been charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking and Breach of Probation. 

KNAPAYSWEET will next appear in court in Fort Albany on June 16, 2011.

Fort Albany First Nation is located approximately 400 km north of Cochrane.
