NAPS ASSISTS WITH SEIZURE IN HEARST PDF Print E-mail

(Hearst, ON) On January 25, 2011, Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service Drug Enforcement Unit members in assistance with the Ontario Provincial Police Crime Enforcement Bureau and members of the Hearst Detachment executed a search warrant under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act at a residence on George Street in the Town of Hearst.

A quantity of Cocaine, OxyCodone, and Clonazepam were seized with a potential street value of one thousand seven-hundred ninety ($1,790.00) dollars, and nine-hundred seventy-five ($975.00) dollars in offence-related property.  One individual has been charged as a result of the investigation.

Sixty-seven (67) year-old Clement TARDIFF of Hearst has been charged with two counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance, and one count of Breach of Probation.  TARDIFF has been held in custody for a Show Cause Hearing to be held in Cochrane on January 26, 2011.

Hearst is located approximately 215 km north west of Cochrane, Ontario.
