NAPS OFFICER WINS 1ST PLACE IN 2010 BEARSKIN LAKE CHRISTMAS PARADE PDF Print E-mail

(Bearskin Lake, ON) On December 19, 2010, a Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service member of the Bearskin Lake Detachment won a very prestigious award.

Cst. Brad SKRZYPEK won 1st place in the 2010 Bearskin Lake Christmas Parade.    There were a total of 12 entries for the 2010 parade.  Among the runners up, 2nd place went to the team of Stella CHAPMAN and Esther FIDDLER, and 3rd place went to Alice MEEKIS.  Cst. SKRZYPEK won the title and a grand total of three-hundred dollars ($300.00) with half of the winnings going back to the community.  The parade was coordinated by Anita NOTHING and the members of the Bearskin Lake Recreation Committee.

Bearskin Lake First Nation is located approximately 610 kilometres northwest of Thunder Bay.
