(Mishkeegogamang, ON) On December 17, 2010, Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service organized a toy drive in Pickle Lake, ensuring an unforgettable Christmas for the children of Mishkeegogamang First Nation.

Sr. Cst. Mel COLES and Cst. Amanda PAUL of Nishnawbe-Aski Police along with P/Cst. Josh DEBOCK and Auxiliary Tom LOCKWOOD of the Ontario Provincial Police Pickle Lake Detachment distributed posters for the toy drive and collected the donations.  The Northern Store located in Pickle Lake offered a 25% discount for any purchases toward the toy drive.

The officers then delivered between two and three thousand dollars ($2-3,000.00) worth of donated toys and delivered them to Tikanagan Child and Family Services of Mishkeegogamang where they were graciously accepted by Leslie MATHE, Supervisor of Child Care.  Sr. Cst. Mel COLES stated that this is a good thing for the children at Christmas time.

Mishkeegogamang First Nation is approximately 315 km northwest of Thunder Bay.
