NISHNAWBE-ASKI POLICE DRUG WARRANT EXECUTED IN FORT ALBANY PDF Print E-mail

(Fort Albany) On November 19, 2010, Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service members along with the Combined Forces Organized Crime Unit and NAPS Canine Unit executed a search warrant issued under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act at a residence in the Fort Albany First Nation.

Charged are twenty-nine (29) year-old Ross Sydney LOONE (ASHAMOCK) and twenty-eight (28) year-old Angie Lane LAGASSE, both of Fort Albany.  LOONE and LAGASSE are each charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, Careless Storage of a Firearm, and Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm.

Police seized a street value of approximately two thousand five-hundred fifty ($2,550.00) dollars in Marijuana and recovered three thousand three-hundred fifty ($3,350.00) dollars in currency, along with two firearms and various packages of ammunition.

Ross LOONE and Angie LAGASSE have been released on conditions and will appear in court in Fort Albany on February 17, 2011.

Fort Albany First Nation is located approximately 400 km north of Cochrane.
