(Sandy Lake) On September 27, 2010, Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service members in Sandy Lake received information about drugs entering the community through the mail.

Approximately 124 grams of Marijuana with a street value of approximately six thousand two-hundred dollars ($6,200.00) was seized by police.

Twenty-five (25) year old Jacqueline Hilary HARPER of Sandy Lake First Nation is charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking.  HARPER has been released on conditions and will appear in court on December 8, 2010 in Sandy Lake, Ontario.

Sandy Lake First Nation is located approximately 600 km northwest of Thunder Bay.
