$20,000.00 SEIZURE AT THUNDER BAY AIRPORT PDF Print E-mail

(Thunder Bay)  On September 22, 2010, members of the Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service with the assistance of the Combined Forces Organized Crime Unit attended the Thunder Bay International Airport where they intercepted a female who was traveling from Thunder Bay to the Webequie First Nation.

The female was arrested and searched prior to boarding her flight.  Officers located OxyCodone prescription pills concealed on her person.  Police believe the drugs were destined to be sold on the community of Webequie.  The street value of the drugs seized is approximately twenty-thousand dollars ($20,000.00).

Nineteen (19) year old Marcia JACOB of Webequie First Nation has been charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking.

Webequie First Nation is located approximately 650 km north of Thunder Bay.
