WARRANT EXECTUED IN EABAMETOONG FIRST NATION PDF Print E-mail

(Fort Hope, ON) On September 1, 2010, members of the Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service executed a search warrant at a residence located at Eabametoong First Nation.

Detachment members, assisted by the Nishnawbe-Aski Police Drug Unit, Guns and Gangs Unit and Canine Unit, seized a street value of approximately fourteen thousand dollars ($14,000.00) worth of OxyContin prescription drugs and approximately three hundred dollars ($300.00) in currency.

Thirty-two (32) year old Linda Josephine WABANO and thirty-two (32) year old Normand Sidney SHAWINIMASH, both of Eabametoong First Nation, have each been charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking.  WABANO and SHAWINIMASH have both been released on conditions and will appear in court on November 4, 2010, in Eabametoong.

Eabametoong First Nation is located approximately 385 kilometres northeast of Thunder Bay.
