TRAFFICKING A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE PDF Print E-mail

(Thunder Bay, ON) - The joint effort of The Combined Forces Organized Crime Unit and the Toronto OPP Drug Enforcement Section has laid charges in a lengthy investigation. Of those charged, is an integral figure that resides over 900 kilometres out of the area and is believed responsible in the importation of Oxycodone to the First Nation communities of the Nishnawbe-Aski Nation area. 

As a result of nearly two years of investigation Police seized Oxycodone tablets with a potential value of approximately three hundred sixty thousand dollars ($360,000.00) in our northern communities, along with approximately sixty thousand dollars ($60,000.00) in currency.  

Thirty-seven (37) year-old Jabir KHAN of North York, Ontario is being charged with Trafficking a Controlled Substance and Possession of Proceeds of Crime.  The Organized Forces Organized Crime Unit and the Toronto OPP Drug Enforcement Section arrested KHAN in North York and flew back to Thunder Bay where he is in custody and awaiting a bail hearing.  A search warrant was also executed at KHAN's residence and an additional thirteen thousand dollars ($13,000.00) in currency was seized at the time of arrest.

Two males and one female have also been charged in connection with the investigation.

Twenty (20) year-old Clinton NETEMEGESIC of Thunder Bay is being charged with Proceeds of Crime Exceeding Five Thousand Dollars.

Thirty-six (36) year-old Bazil McINTOSH of Toronto is being charged with Proceeds of Crime Exceeding Five Thousand Dollars and Trafficking a Controlled Substance.

Thirty-two (32) year-old Brandie MOSHER from Toronto is being charged with Proceeds of Crime Exceeding Five Thousand Dollars and Trafficking a Controlled Substance.

The Combined Forces Organized Crime Unit consists of members from The Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service, The Thunder Bay Police Service, The O.P.P.- Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau, The R.C.M.P., and The Anishinabek Police Service.
