SEARCH WARRANT EXECUTED IN FIRST NATION PDF Print E-mail
(Sandy Lake, ON) On June 9, 2010, members of the Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service (NAPS), the NAPS Drug Enforcement Unit, and the Gang Enforcement Unit executed a search warrant at a residence in Sandy Lake First Nation.

One male has been charged in relation to the warrant. Twenty-six (26) year old Michael Robert FIDDLER of Sandy Lake First Nation has been charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking.

NAPS seized a street value of one thousand one hundred dollars ($1,100.00) worth of marihuana and Oxycodone Prescription pills. Also seized was four hundred dollars ($400.00) of currency and a firearm.

FIDDLER has been released on a Promise to Appear in court in Sandy Lake on August 4, 2010.

Sandy Lake First Nation is located approximately 600 kilometres north west of Thunder Bay.
