Eabametoong, ON (Fort Hope) - On December 28, 2009 Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service

Police intercepted a package containing a shipment of illegal drugs at the Fort Hope airport.

Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service seized a street value of approximately thirty six hundred dollars ($3600.00) worth of drugs.  Drugs seized included Percocets and OxyContin prescription drugs.

Thirty-six (36) year old Maureen Wabano of Fort Hope First Nation was charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking.  She is to appear in court on February 11th, 2010 in Fort Hope, ON.

Fort Hope is located approximately 385 kilometres northeast of Thunder Bay, Ont
