DRUGS SEIZED AT THUNDER BAY AIRPORT PDF Print E-mail

(Thunder Bay) On December 6, 2009 Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service officers assisted in an investigation conducted by the Ontario Provincial Police of a woman and man travelling to the First Nation community of Webequie.

Police seized a street value of approximately nineteen thousand four-hundred dollars ($19,400.00) worth of Percocet and OxyContin prescription drugs.

Thirty (30) year old Florence Doreen SPENCE and Twenty-four (24) year old Darcy Allan SHEWAYBICK, both of Webequie First Nation, were each charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking. SPENCE and SHEWAYBICK were each released on an Appearance Notice for court on January 20, 2010 in Thunder Bay, Ontario.

Webequie First Nation is located approximately 650 kilometres north of Thunder Bay.
